Overview
Eigen Finance is a Solana defi app that enables hedging and interests-rate risk speculation.
My Role
I created the initial branding for the product.
My Process
- Client expressed favor of Saber and Futureswap's branding, and provided the naming for the product.
- I researched about typefaces used among blockchain Fintech products, and looked for typefaces that contain the eigen mark.

Research
Look & Feel
Gamification and dark mode is widely used in Solana Dapps as a way to invite try-out. Inter, Avant-garde Gothic and Avenir are used by Saber and Futureswap to express liquidity and future.
Words & Meaning
Eigen, or "Lambda" is a Greek alphabet, often used in computer science and astrophysics. It was once employed by Einstein in the General Theory of Relativity to express inertia in vacuum space.
Prototype
Reflection
- Avenir's tail design goes upward, which makes it easy to read. I made the tail more bold for display, conveying the feeling of hedging against loss.
- The twitter header utilizes a dark theme and echoes Solana’s vibe.
- For later adaption, TT Norms's balance of whimsical and sophisticated look could be a better choice.
